Ring eyelets M12 - You need them and you want them. Our eXODA ring eyelets are pressed, not screwed. Soldering also works, of course. M12 ring eyelets have, as the name suggests, a 12mm opening. To prevent our M12 ring eyelets from rusting, they are galvanised. These M12 ring eyes are suitable for a cable cross-section of 25mm2. As is well known, the cross-section describes an area. The diameter of a 25mm2 cable is approx. 5.6mm. Of course, only the diameter of the copper wire braid is taken into account. As the M12 ring lugs from eXODA are both sturdy and strong, they are ideal for crimping. But even stable tubular cable lugs must be flexible enough to allow copper wire braids to be crimped even if the cross-section is not exactly 25mm2. The M12 cable lugs fulfil this requirement. All in all, therefore, a proper cable lug for proper workmanship. We recommend crimping the cable lugs. Tubular cable lugs crimp a very neat connection - even if soldering is not a problem. Therefore the recommendation is rather not to solder the cable lugs. Cable lugs should present a low resistance in relation to the conductivity of the finished cable. A cable lug connection is always a resistor. Because of the high conductivity of eXODA tubular cable lugs, the cable lug creates a very low resistance, as it is intended to do.
