This pulley has a rated capacity of 4.5t - this means that 4.5 tonnes can be lifted without hesitation. If a pulley is used, for example, to pull a vehicle, not to lift it, then 9t is not a problem with the pulley. The difference here is in lifting or pulling. For pulling, the rated capacity is given with 2 times the safety factor, for lifting with 4 times the safety factor. On a tow truck, a cable winch is usually used for pulling. However, since winches are also used for lifting, we give the rated capacity as 4.5t. The breaking load of the pulley is therefore 18t - you should never come close to this load, because breaking load means that the pulley will break. Anyone who uses a cable winch should put this pulley on their wish list. With winches you can easily double the pulling force by skilful use of a pulley.
