How is the rated capacity (working load) calculated? Here we assume that the pulley is used for lifting. When lifting a load, one calculates with a 4-fold safety factor. The WLL is then calculated as follows:

WLL = breaking load / safety factor (example 12t / 4 = 3t)

The breaking load is therefore also an important factor. The breaking load is the point at which material cracks, breaks or bends.
