You need them, because 2 SB175 connectors of the same colour always fit together. We want to prevent consumers from being connected incorrectly when using our battery connectors. This protects, for example, the forklift truck or the batteries. The high-current battery connectors are also equipped with 2 copper contacts each for 10mm2 cable cross-section. The cable cross-section of 10mm2 corresponds to a copper wire braid diameter of 3.57mm or AWG 2. AWG is a North American standard. The shockproof housing is made of ABS plastic. To prevent rusting, the spring plates are made of stainless steel. The copper contacts are silver-plated.
