A plastic rope has a lot of advantages compared to a steel rope. We would not offer synthetic ropes if we were not convinced of the quality ourselves. Dyneema ropes are made of high performance polyethylene fibres (HPPE). The breaking length of Dyneema is almost 400 km. A rope made of Dyneema fibre with a free hanging length of 400 km would tear by its own weight. This defines the breaking length. This eXODA Dyneema rope has a diameter of 8 mm at a length of 10 m. The safety aspect in contrast to a steel rope is not to be sneezed at! A breaking steel rope is a really big danger. Synthetic ropes are naturally more suitable for a winch and thus contribute to the safety of bystanders. In addition, Dyneema ropes are characterised by a high breaking load.
